How to share your X (Twitter) profile link

Since the rebrand, half the internet says “Twitter link” and the other half says “X link” — they're the same URL. Here's how to copy yours and share it anywhere.

Quick answer: Your profile link is x.com/yourusername (and twitter.com/yourusername still redirects to it). In the X app: your profile → share icon → Copy link.

Copy your X profile link in the app

  1. Open the X app and tap your avatar → your profile.
  2. Tap the share icon on your profile page.
  3. Tap Copy link.

Or type it — the format is simple

https://x.com/yourusername — your username without the @. twitter.com/yourusername redirects to the same place, so old links keep working.

Which domain should you share? x.com is current and shorter; twitter.com can feel more recognizable to older audiences. Either resolves to your profile.

Share it without opening X at all

If you share your X handle more than once a month, save it in Profile Bud:

  • Swipe right → copied, ready to paste into any chat, bio, or email signature.
  • Keep a work account and a personal account in separate profiles so the wrong one never leaves your phone.
  • Sending your whole online presence? Share X, Instagram, LinkedIn, and GitHub together in one formatted message.

Good to know

  • Protected account? Your link works, but only approved followers see your posts.
  • Username changed? The old URL breaks immediately — X doesn't forward it. Update everywhere you've shared it.
  • Pinned post: your profile link lands visitors on your pinned post first — pin your best work before sharing widely.
