How to copy your Instagram profile link

Your Instagram profile link is the fastest way to send your account to someone who doesn't follow you yet. Here's exactly where Instagram hides the copy button — and how to stop digging for it every time.

Quick answer: Open Instagram, go to your profile, tap Share profile, then tap Copy link. Your profile URL is always instagram.com/yourusername, so you can also just type it.

Copy your Instagram link in the app (iPhone)

  1. Open Instagram and tap your profile photo (bottom right).
  2. Tap Share profile under your bio. (On some versions it's behind the or share icon at the top.)
  3. Tap Copy link. The URL is now on your clipboard — paste it anywhere.

The same screen offers a QR code, which works well in person but not in a chat.

Copy it from a browser

On desktop, go to instagram.com, open your profile, and copy the address bar. Logged out? The format never changes:

https://instagram.com/yourusername — replace yourusername with your exact handle (no @).

The real problem: you'll do this again tomorrow

Copying the link isn't hard — it's that you do it over and over, and Instagram is only one of your accounts. New group chat? Networking event? Bio field on some new app? Each time it's the same scavenger hunt across Instagram, TikTok, X, and LinkedIn.

Profile Bud ends the hunt. Add your Instagram username once and the app builds instagram.com/yourusername for you. From then on:

  • Swipe right on the Instagram row → link copied. No opening Instagram, no menus.
  • Need all your socials? Share the whole list in one message — plain text, Markdown, or JSON.
  • Keep Personal and Business accounts in separate profiles so you never paste the wrong one.

Tips for sharing your Instagram link

  • Changed your username? Your old link breaks — update it everywhere (in Profile Bud it's a one-field edit).
  • Private account? The link still works; people just have to request to follow.
  • Sharing a business and a personal account? Send both in one paste with a custom share template.
